Together we can solve hunger. Volunteer.

With cases of COVID-19 identified in the Washington metropolitan region, the Capital Area Food Bank is actively coordinating with our network of partners, as well as regional emergency preparedness authorities to prepare for the impact on our community.

All volunteers must sign a Waiver, volunteers under the age of 18 must have waiver signed by parent or legal guardian click HERE to download the waiver

In accordance with the DC Government and CDC recommendations, all volunteers are required to wear a mask or face covering during their volunteer shift. Due to our limited supply of masks and we are asking volunteers bring their own if possible. Find more information about CDC’s recommendations regarding the use of cloth face coverings HERE.

The Capital Area Food Bank is vital to the supply chain for the procurement and distribution of food in our region. This means volunteers from any area can still travel to the food bank. Please carry this LETTER with you when traveling to or from the food bank to volunteer.
